  • 1.5 tbsp unsulphured molasses Adds depth and a caramel note; can swap with maple syrup if desired.
  • 1 tsp ground ginger Brings the beloved gingerbread taste.
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon Enhances warmth and aroma for a festive touch.
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract Introduces complexity and a delightful fragrance.
Latte
  • 0.5 cups chai tea concentrate Provides the warming, spiced base.
  • 0.5 cups oat milk Adds creaminess and flavor; almond or soy milk can also be used.
  • 1 handful ice Optional for iced version.
  • to taste coconut whipped cream Topping that adds sweetness and creaminess.

Method
 

Prepare the Gingerbread Syrup
  1. Combine light brown sugar, water, and molasses in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves. This takes about 3–5 minutes.
Add the Spices
  1. Once simmering, add ground ginger and ground cinnamon. Stir until fully incorporated and let it simmer for another 5–8 minutes.
Finish the Syrup
  1. Remove from heat and stir in pure vanilla extract. Allow to cool. The syrup will thicken.
Assemble Your Latte
  1. Drizzle gingerbread syrup into a glass. Add ice if desired. Pour chai tea concentrate over syrup.
Add the Oat Milk
  1. Pour in oat milk and stir gently. Adjust sweetness with more syrup if desired.
Top It Off
  1. Top with coconut whipped cream and drizzle more gingerbread syrup.
