  • 1 cup Shredded Carrots can substitute with julienned cucumbers
  • 1 cup Chopped Bell Peppers any color works, red and yellow are sweeter
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves crucial for aroma and flavor
For Wrapping
  • 8 sheets Rice Paper Wrappers dip one at a time in warm water

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the lean ground beef, soy sauce, and hoisin sauce, sautéing everything together for 5-7 minutes or until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  2. Once the beef is cooked, stir in the shredded carrots and chopped bell peppers. Cook this mixture for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Fill a shallow dish with warm water and gently dip one rice paper wrapper in the water for about 10-15 seconds.
  4. In the center of the prepared rice paper, place a few fresh basil leaves followed by a spoonful of the beef and vegetable mixture. Roll it tightly from one end to the other.
  5. Transfer the completed rolls to a serving platter. Serve fresh, paired with your favorite dipping sauces.
