  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl and allow it to cool slightly. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the cooled melted butter, ¾ cup of milk, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and ½ cup of pure maple syrup until fully combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined.
  5. Spread the thick batter evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 22-25 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Prepare the glaze by mixing 1 cup of powdered sugar, ¼ cup of pure maple syrup, 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  7. Once cooled, spread the glaze over the bars, allow to set, and cut into squares.
