Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Mozzarella Cheese Steak Stromboli
  1. On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the sirloin steak for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked to your preference. Season with garlic powder and stir occasionally.
  3. Once the steak is cooked, stir in sliced bell peppers and onions into the skillet. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly. Spread the steak and veggie mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  5. Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough over the filling to create a log shape. Pinch the seams and edges tightly to seal in the filling.
  6. Transfer your rolled Stromboli onto a lined baking sheet. Brush the top generously with an egg wash and poke several slits on top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden and crisp.
  8. Allow the Stromboli to cool for about 5 minutes. Use a serrated knife to slice it into thick pieces.
