Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add 2 tablespoons of butter and allow it to melt completely.
  2. Add diced onion, sliced green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and jalapeño to the skillet. Stir frequently for about 5 minutes.
  3. Once the vegetables are ready, increase the heat slightly and add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet. Break the meat apart while stirring, cooking for about 6-8 minutes.
  4. After the beef is nicely browned, carefully drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  5. Stir in 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste. Mix everything thoroughly for about 2 minutes.
  6. Finally, serve the Beef and Pepper Rice Bowl hot over a generous bed of cooked rice, if desired.
