Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Cajun Cream Sauce
  1. In a medium skillet, combine 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Allow the mixture to melt and bubble gently for about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add 3 cloves of minced garlic and 1 finely chopped shallot to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and ½ cup of chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika, and ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper if desired. Let simmer for another 3 minutes.
