  • 1 pound Ground Turkey Can substitute with ground chicken, beef, or pork
  • 2 medium Zucchini Sliced; can substitute with bell peppers or spinach
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced; fresh is best
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped; shallots work well too
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning Dried herbs blend
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Can substitute with avocado oil or butter
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add 1 medium chopped onion and 3 minced garlic cloves to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Add 1 pound of ground turkey, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in 2 medium sliced zucchinis and 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste, stirring gently for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let sit for a minute before serving. Serve warm.
