Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the softened cream cheese to the mixture and beat until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gently add to the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in the caramel sauce, leaving streaks for swirls.
  7. Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  8. Generously sprinkle each cookie with flaky sea salt before baking.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
  10. Let cool on the sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
