Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add olive oil if needed, sauté onion for 3 minutes, then add garlic, Italian seasoning, and cherry tomatoes.
  3. Sprinkle flour over vegetables, stir for 1 minute. Gradually add chicken broth and simmer.
  4. Add orzo pasta to the sauce, bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 7 minutes.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, add basil and Parmesan, stir to combine.
  6. Serve into dishes, garnishing with additional basil and Parmesan.
