Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef (or your chosen protein) and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
- Add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms to the skillet, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Return the browned meat to the skillet and stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and beef broth. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Prepare a casserole dish by cubing hamburger buns and layering them at the bottom. Spread the beef and vegetable mixture over the bread.
- Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Carefully place your casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Remove the casserole from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top before serving.
