Ingredients
  

For the Patties
  • 1 pound Ground Chicken Substitute with ground turkey if desired.
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 cup Grated Onion
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley Substitute with cilantro if preferred.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Mint Basil is a good alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Italian seasoning can be used as well.
  • 1/2 cup Crumbled Feta Cheese Goat cheese works as a substitute.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Consider gluten-free breadcrumbs if necessary.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Avocado oil is a suitable replacement.
For the Tzatziki
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Can substitute with sour cream.
  • 1/2 cup Grated Cucumber Ensure well-drained.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Fresh Dill Dried dill can substitute.
For Assembling
  • 4 pieces Burger Buns Consider whole-grain or gluten-free.
  • 4 leaves Lettuce Leaves For topping.
  • 4 slices Tomato Slices For topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, grated onion, chopped parsley, mint, dried oregano, crumbled feta, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined and shape into four patties.
  2. Cover the patties with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor and firmness.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add patties. Cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and set aside in the refrigerator.
  5. Toast the burger buns in the same skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Spread tzatziki on the bottom half of each bun, add a lettuce leaf, a chicken patty, a tomato slice, and top with the other bun.
