  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract or almond extract
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour or gluten-free blend
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
For the Mix-Ins
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips can swap for dark or white
  • 1 cup Halloween M&Ms or other candy-coated chocolates
For the Decorations
  • 1 cup Candy Eyeballs ensure they’re non-melting
  • Sprinkles or Chopped Candy Bars optional for decoration

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  4. Sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and Halloween M&Ms, reserving a handful for topping.
  6. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan.
  7. Press the reserved M&Ms and candy eyeballs into the top of the dough.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden and center is soft.
  9. Cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.
