Recipe Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain pasta.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet with bacon drippings, add ground beef and cook over medium-high heat until browned, around 5-6 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, pour in heavy cream, and stir. Gradually add cheese while stirring until melted into a creamy sauce, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add drained pasta and crumbled bacon to the skillet. Toss together until pasta is well-coated, adding pasta water as needed to maintain creaminess.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with additional cheese or bacon bits if desired.
