Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a springform pan thoroughly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk well.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix almond milk, melted vegan butter, vanilla, and almond extract until smooth.
  4. Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. In a small bowl, mix dairy-free cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until creamy.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the greased pan, layer with cream cheese filling, and top with the remaining batter.
  7. In a small bowl, mix sliced almonds with flour and melted vegan butter to create a crumbly streusel topping.
  8. Sprinkle the almond streusel mixture evenly over the top of the cake.
  9. Bake the cake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before removing it and letting it cool completely.
