Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine the active dry yeast with half of the warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a larger mixing bowl, whisk together the softened butter, granulated sugar, kosher salt, and the remaining warm water.
  3. Once the yeast is activated, add the egg yolk to the butter mixture, stirring to combine.
  4. Gently fold in the foamy yeast mixture, then gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until just combined.
  5. Spread the prepared dough evenly into a greased 9x13 baking dish and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  7. After resting, brush the surface of the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan, mozzarella, oregano, and garlic salt.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 28-31 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then slice into 8 equal pieces and serve with marinara sauce.
