Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with sour cream.
  6. Fold in chopped Granny Smith apples and optional nuts.
