Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat, then brown the seasoned beef chunks for 5-7 minutes on all sides.
  2. Add more olive oil if needed, then cook sliced onions and minced garlic on low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Return the beef to the pot, add white wine, and water to cover. Simmer for about 2 hours until beef is tender.
  4. Boil salted water in another pot, cook ziti pasta until al dente (10-12 minutes), then drain.
  5. Mix the cooked ziti with the sauce and beef, toss over low heat for 2-3 minutes, and serve hot with Parmesan and basil.
