Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs and 1 cup of half and half until fully combined. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and a pinch of salt, stirring well to create a smooth custard.
  2. Using a toothpick or skewer, poke holes in the bottom of each King's Hawaiian Roll. Set the prepared rolls aside.
  3. Dip each roll into the custard mixture for 30 seconds on each side. Place the rolls on a plate and prepare for cooking.
  4. In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat until melted. Ensure the pan is hot enough for cooking.
  5. Carefully place the soaked rolls in the skillet, ensuring there’s space between them. Cook for about 30-60 seconds on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove the rolls from the skillet and place them on a serving platter. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with fresh fruit and maple syrup.
