- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove giblets from the turkey and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Combine butter, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the garlic herb butter.
- Spread half of the garlic herb butter mixture under the turkey's skin and the remaining on the outside.
- Season the cavity of the turkey with additional salt and pepper.
- Truss the turkey with kitchen twine for even cooking.
- Place the turkey breast side up in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth into the pan.
- Roast the turkey for approximately 13 minutes per pound until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Baste the turkey every 30 minutes with the pan juices.
- If the skin darkens too much, loosely cover the breasts with aluminum foil.
- Remove the turkey from the oven and cover loosely with foil. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Carve the turkey and arrange on a serving platter, garnishing with fresh herbs.
