  • 1 tbsp Powdered Sugar For dusting before serving.

Equipment

  • medium bowl
  • Shallow dish
  • large skillet
  • fine sieve
  • paper towels

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar, mixing until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Take two slices of bread and spread a layer of the cream cheese filling on one side of each slice. On one slice, top with fresh strawberries and strawberry jam, then place the second slice on top.
  3. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk until smooth and slightly frothy.
  4. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.
  5. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat until melted and bubbly.
  6. Place the coated sandwiches in the hot skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Once golden brown, remove the sandwiches from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess butter.
  8. Dust the warm sandwiches with powdered sugar before serving.
