- Preheat your slow cooker to the LOW setting.
- In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until mostly browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the diced onion, thyme, red pepper flakes, and salt to the browned beef. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until onions are translucent.
- Transfer the sautéed beef and onion mixture into the preheated slow cooker.
- Chop the cabbage into 1-inch pieces and add on top of the meat mixture in the slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and water. Mix well.
- Pour the prepared tomato sauce over the meat and cabbage in the slow cooker and stir gently to combine.
- Cover and set the slow cooker to cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.
- Once the cooking time is complete, check for tenderness and serve hot.
