  • 3/4 cup warm water must be warm, not hot

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rolling Pin

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. Gradually pour in olive oil and warm water, mixing with a fork until a shaggy dough begins to form.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead it for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Divide the kneaded dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball. Cover and let them rest for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Roll each ball into a circle about 8-10 inches in diameter on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat for about 2-3 minutes until hot.
  7. Cook each tortilla for 30-45 seconds on each side, or until golden-brown spots appear.
  8. Place cooked tortillas in a tortilla warmer or wrap them in a clean towel to keep warm.
