- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until smooth and well combined.
- Fold in the all-purpose flour gently until no visible flour remains.
- Fold in mashed bananas and 3/4 of the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, level the surface, and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 33 to 37 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 16 squares.
