  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Essential for flavor enhancement
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional for heat

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together fresh orange juice, lime juice, minced garlic, chopped oregano, ground cumin, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and optional red pepper flakes.
  2. Coat chicken thighs in the prepared marinade and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  4. Remove chicken thighs from the marinade, drip off excess, place skin-side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and roast for 35-40 minutes.
  5. Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
