Ingredients
  

For the Patties
  • 2 cups broccoli, chopped Steam until tender
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Can substitute with mozzarella, gouda, or feta
  • 2 large eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free if desired
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Chop broccoli into small pieces, steam for 5-7 minutes, drain, and let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine broccoli, cheese, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about ¾ inch thick, and place on a baking sheet.
  4. For frying, heat oil in a skillet and fry patties on each side for 4-5 minutes until golden. For baking, preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Serve warm with dipping sauces such as ranch or sriracha.
