  1. Wash the apples, core them, and slice into fry-like sticks about ½-inch thick. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Set up your coating station with three bowls: flour in the first, whisked egg and milk in the second, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon in the third.
  3. Dredge each apple stick in the flour, dip into the egg mixture, then roll in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to coat.
