Prepare Chicken
- Pat the boneless skinless chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Sear Chicken
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken breasts and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Make Sauce
- Lower the heat to medium and add remaining butter to the skillet. Sauté onion until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
Create Creamy Base
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until thickened.
Finish Chicken
- Return the seared chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes until fully cooked.
Garnish and Serve
- Sprinkle chopped parsley over the dish and serve hot with your choice of sides.
