  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Blend mix of Parmesan, Romano, and Asiago
  • 1 cup Fontina Cheese can substitute with grated Monterey Jack
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese use grated for even melt
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs optional for crunchy topping

Method
 

Directions
  1. Cook the ziti pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and toss with olive oil.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine marinara sauce, heavy cream, diced tomatoes, and sugar over medium heat. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add half of the cheese blend to the sauce, stirring until melted and bubbly. Remove from heat.
  4. In an oven-safe dish, combine cooked ziti with the creamy sauce, spreading evenly.
  5. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan, followed by breadcrumbs. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 30-45 minutes.
  6. Remove foil, broil for 3-5 minutes until the top is golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
