Equipment

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and brown it undisturbed for about 5–6 minutes until it’s well seared and no longer pink.
  2. Add chopped onion to the pot with the cooked ground beef; sauté for about 5 minutes until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in the orzo pasta to the pot, coating it with the savory mixture for about a minute. Then, pour in the tomato sauce, beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once the orzo is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed, stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fresh baby spinach. Cover the pot for about 3–5 minutes.
  6. Before serving, taste your Ground Beef Orzo with Tomato Cream Sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
