Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and brown it undisturbed for about 5–6 minutes until it’s well seared and no longer pink.
- Add chopped onion to the pot with the cooked ground beef; sauté for about 5 minutes until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
- Stir in the orzo pasta to the pot, coating it with the savory mixture for about a minute. Then, pour in the tomato sauce, beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the orzo is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed, stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fresh baby spinach. Cover the pot for about 3–5 minutes.
- Before serving, taste your Ground Beef Orzo with Tomato Cream Sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
