Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
- In a separate large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Mix until smooth, then add apple cider and vanilla extract.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the topping while the loaf cools slightly.
- Brush the top of the warm loaf with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on top.
- Let the loaf cool for about 5-10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
- Once cooled, slice into thick pieces and serve warm.
