  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted) can substitute with plant-based butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup apple cider can substitute with apple juice or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  3. In a separate large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Mix until smooth, then add apple cider and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the topping while the loaf cools slightly.
  7. Brush the top of the warm loaf with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on top.
  8. Let the loaf cool for about 5-10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
  9. Once cooled, slice into thick pieces and serve warm.
