  • 1 cup Sour Rainbow Candy Strips Sour belts or fruit leather can be substituted.
  • 1 cup Vodka Can substitute with white rum, gin, or flavored liqueur.
  • 1 packet Fruit-Flavored Gelatin Any complementary flavor will work.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 cup Corn Syrup Can swap for agave syrup or honey.
  • Sour Sugar (Optional) Mix sugar with citric acid for coating.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and gradually stir in the fruit-flavored gelatin until fully dissolved.
  3. Whisk in granulated sugar and corn syrup until completely dissolved.
  4. Let the mixture cool slightly for about 5 minutes, then stir in the vodka.
  5. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the gelatin mixture evenly into the dish.
  6. Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours to chill and set.
  7. Run a sharp knife around the edges and slice the set gelatin into 1-inch strips.
  8. Pair each gelatin strip with a sour candy strip and roll tightly.
  9. For added flavor, roll the finished rollups in sour sugar if desired.
  10. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
