Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and packed brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Fold into the butter mixture until just combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a small bowl, mix additional brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  6. Spread half of the batter in the baking dish, sprinkle with the cinnamon mixture, then dollop remaining batter and swirl.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let bars cool completely in the pan before frosting with a mixture of powdered sugar, softened butter, vanilla, and milk.
