Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, milk, and sourdough discard. Stir until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Fold into wet mixture until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Prepare your muffin tin by greasing it or lining it with muffin liners.
- Spoon the muffin batter into the cups, filling about 2/3 to 3/4 full. Optionally, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden-brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
