- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto the baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, looking for golden edges and slightly underbaked centers. Let cool on sheets before transferring to wire racks.
- Allow to cool completely on wire racks to enhance chewy texture.
