  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce optional; soy sauce can be used
Custard Topping

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour or gluten-free flour if required
Assembly
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking Spray or Butter

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef and chopped onion. Cook for about 7–10 minutes until browned and tender. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.
  4. Lightly grease your 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray or butter. Spread the seasoned meat mixture evenly on the bottom, topped with cheddar cheese.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and flour until smooth. Pour this custard mixture over the meat and cheese layers in the pie dish.
  6. Place the assembled pie in the preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Allow the pie to cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
