Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add 2 sliced leeks and sauté for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Add 8 ounces of mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5–7 minutes until tender and lightly browned.
  3. Lower the heat and pour in 1 cup of heavy cream. Whisk gently for a smooth consistency and cook for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Gradually add 1 cup of shredded Gruyere cheese, stirring continuously until melted and creamy.
  5. Cook your choice of pasta until al dente. Drain and add to the skillet, tossing everything together gently.
  6. Season with salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Gruyere if desired.
