Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold running water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  3. Add the drained jasmine rice and sauté for about 2 minutes until slightly translucent.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 18 minutes.
  6. Remove lid and add butter. Cook uncovered for another 5-7 minutes until crispy.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions and sesame oil, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
