  • 2 cups shredded cabbage green, red, or Napa cabbage
  • 1 large avocado sliced
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes pico de gallo optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro or parsley substitute
  • 2 pieces lime cut into wedges

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the white fish fillets dry with paper towels and brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. Generously sprinkle blackening seasoning on both sides of the fish and press gently to stick.
  4. Place the seasoned fish fillets in the hot skillet and cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Flip the fish and cook for another 3-4 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Transfer the blackened fish to a plate and let it rest for 2-3 minutes before flaking.
  7. Assemble the bowls starting with cooked rice or quinoa, topped with cabbage and flaked fish.
  8. Add avocado slices, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and serve with lime wedges.
