Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Allow at least 10 minutes for the oven to reach the desired temperature.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. Score the top of the brie cheese in a crosshatch pattern to enhance flavor penetration during baking.
  5. Spread fig preserves on top of the brie, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with fresh thyme and black pepper.
  6. Wrap the puff pastry over the brie, sealing the edges tightly.
  7. Beat the egg and brush it over the surface of the wrapped pastry for a golden sheen.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
