  2. In a medium bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and your warm spices: 1 teaspoon of ground cloves, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 0.5 teaspoon of ground cardamom.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together 0.5 cup of softened butter, 0.5 cup of brown sugar, 0.25 cup of molasses, and 0.25 cup of honey until silky.
  4. Beat in 1 large egg, the zest of one orange, and 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed orange juice until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to your wet ingredients, stirring just until a dough forms.
  6. Drop rounded portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
