Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Combine chopped medium baking apples, light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger in a medium bowl.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the large egg, white granulated sugar, vegetable oil, full-fat sour cream, and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and kosher salt, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in three-quarters of the apple mixture into the batter and pour into the prepared loaf pan.
- Spread the remaining apple mixture over the top of the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until drizzling consistency is reached.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread and allow it to set before slicing.
