- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
- Toast the pecan pieces in a small skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
- Peel, core, and chop the apples into 1/2-inch chunks.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
- Add the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in apple pieces and toasted pecans gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes until edges are golden-brown.
